Safe Environment Training

Pre-register at archomaha.org

The Safe Environment program is our archdiocesan response to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishop’s Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People. The Archdiocese of Omaha is actively committed to this cause through the volunteers, staff, priests, and parents who work together to furnish a comfortable place of growth and development for our youth.

All parishioners are encouraged to attend.

Students of all ages head back to school this week.  Every new school year represents a new start for students and teachers.  We start off with new shoes, a new backpack, new books, pens & pencils etc.  But over time those new things become worn by use, and next year we’ll have to start with new things again.  Our lives follow the same pattern, for a while we can keep things clean, neat, and ordered but eventually life takes over and we can find ourselves in disarray.  The worst disorder we can have in our lives is due to sin.  Thank God we have the sacrament of Confession.  Whenever we come to the Sacrament of Reconciliation we receive a new start, the Lord cleanses of our sins and makes our souls like new.  We have confession available 30 minutes before every Saturday evening & Sunday Mass; Monday & Wednesdays from 4:45pm to 5:10pm; Tuesdays and Fridays following the 8:15am Mass.  You can also call and make an appointment with myself or Fr. Jerry to have confession.  Give yourself a new start, not just once a year, but as often as we need to.  God is generous in Mercy and desires nothing more than us accepting and receiving that Mercy.

Please remember in prayer this week all students and teachers who are beginning this school year.

Mary, Mother of the Church, Pray for us.
